Dec 29, 2015

B & B International from France, supported by Tecniproject from Chile, both members to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) are involved in a ropeway project in Oruro, Bolivia since June 2015.

This is a main project for the local government expecting important touristic and financial impact for this remote area. The flow of shipments is expected to come to an end before February 2016, just in time for the Carnival of Oruro, the largest annual cultural event in Bolivia and the second largest in South America.

This ropeway will join the City of Oruro with the “Virgin of Socavón” on the top of a 3700 meter high mountain.

The total project represents 850 meters of special cable, valued at USD 18.5 million, and 100 containers, including a variety of out-of-gauge cargo (pulley / reels).

Shipped from the loadport Fos/Mer in France and Genoa, Italy to the dischargeport Arica in Chile

The end of the shipments for this important project is expected before February 2016, prior to the start of the Carnival of Oruro.

B & B international is supported by the WWPC member from Chile, Tecniproject, whose local expertise whether in administration (custom & authorizations ) or on transport ( +/- 600 km of mountain road ) is highly appreciated.
