CNC Freight Services, exclusive member to the Worldwide Project Consortium WWPC network for Malaysia, continued the transportation of materials for the Diyarberkir project in Turkmenistan, following the two AN-124 air-charters they operated for this project earlier this year.
CNC part-chartered a geared conventional vessel to transport three different consignments, comprising diving equipment, pedestal crane and pressure vessels for the same project. The total shipping volume was 2110 freight ton with the heaviest piece weighing 95.00 MT and of dimension L 1450 cm x W 510 cm x H 563 cm.
Due to the cargo height of the Saturation 3 Main Module, the cargo was shipped from Malaysia to Derince in Turkey for oncarriage, using the Volga-Don Canal into the Caspian Seas. At Derince, a subcontractor for CNC took over the arrangement of river transportation from Derince port to Turkmenbashi.
Another piece of Pressure Vessel was routed from Singapore by RORO service to Derince, using its shorter transit time in order to meet up with the arrival of the conventional vessel.
All the cargo was subsequently transshipped and loaded together on the same river vessel.
CNC’s project manager was personally onhand to supervise the discharging operations at Derince as well as to ensure the full consignment was loaded safely onto the river classed vessel.
CNC’s longtime partner DGT Logistics Turkmenistan, exclusive member for the Worldwide Project Consortium WWPC for Turkmenistan, undertook the offloading from river barge at Turkmenbashi port and transportation to the jobsite which is situated approximately 110 km away.
The above project cargo operation again demonstrates CNC’s capability in arranging complex multimodal transportation together with WWPC project partners.
