BNSF Logistics extremely busy with project shipments

Transformers to Maryland

BNSF Logistics, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) network for the USA, handled through their Banning,CA office the transport of 3 transformers each 340,000 Lbs – 32’ x 10’ x 15’3 from the Port of Baltimore to the final jobsite in Maryland.

The transformers we transported by rail to the nearest rail siding, then offloaded on to a special hydraulic 15 axle Goldhofer platform trailer and transported to the jobsite. On site the transformers were then placed on the foundation by jack & slide method.

Cement machinery to Canada

The Houston based GPC (Global Project Center) of BNSFL, together with Smart Logistics Istanbul, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Turkey, handled the transport of 2,500 cbm of cement making machinery incl. one heavy lift with 150,000 lbs from the Port of Hamburg / Germany and the Port of Izmir, Turkey to the final jobsite in Exshaw, AB, Canada. Shipments were route via Halifax, Houston and Tacoma to comply with road permits and clearance requirements and were delivered on time to the final destination.
